Meherrin River Farms, Inc. was incorporated in Greensville County, Virginia in December 2003. Meherrin River Farms grew out of Chesapeake Aquatic Nursery in Baltimore, Maryland, which has been providing premium aquatic plant liners for the past five years to growers, landscapers, and garden centers across the country and into Canada. When the need arose to expand and relocate from our Baltimore facilities, a thorough three-year search led to Greensville County, Virginia, located just above the North Carolina border. This move will allow us to expand our line of aquatic plants to include water lilies and finished aquatic marginals in addition to our plug size liners. We will also be able to add perennials, grasses and contract growing to our operations. We would like to thank all of our customers who have helped make this move possible and we look forward to continuing to provide premium plants and services from southern Virginia.
